Deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to the 12000 block of James Monroe Highway in Leesburg around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, March 14, after reports of an armed robbery.
Employees told investigators that two masked men entered the store, flashed a firearm, and stole multiple packs of cigarettes before running off, according to the sheriff’s office.
One suspect was wearing a black ski mask and a white-and-black hoodie, while the second was wearing a black ski mask, a black hoodie, and gray sweatpants.
The duo took off in what investigators believe was a blue Ford Escape with both front and rear license plates. However, the exact state and numbers are still unknown.
The SUV also had a black spare wheel on the rear passenger side, deputies said.
Anyone with information about the robbery or who may have been in the area at the time is asked to contact detectives by calling 703-777-1021.
